The new theater company Ambassadors on stage TIGHT FIVE and IRREGULARS this month

Death, family and sizzling one-liners. New Ambassadors Theater Co. presents two new full-length repertoire plays: Irregulars by David Adam Gill and Tight Five by John Peña Griswold and Jennifer Downes. Choose your own coping mechanism: comedy or howl?

Irregulars throws audiences into the cacophonous Brooklyn kitchen of an Italian-American family, where a wine-fueled gathering quickly dissolves into a night of frayed relationships, leaked secrets and unexpected guests. With Kim Reinle, Todd Butera, Eric Svendsen, Mickey Pantano, Saadiq Vaughn, John Peña Griswold. Directed by David Adam Gill; Assistant director, Marie-Elena O’Brien.

Thursday July 14 at 8 p.m.; Friday July 15 at 4 p.m.; Saturday July 16 at 8 p.m.; Sunday July 17 at 8 p.m. Runtime, 110 minutes

In Tight Five, a terminally ill comedian strikes a Faustian bargain with a mysterious intruder to maximize the time she has left. Her life soon turns to fiery absurdity and deep catharsis.

With Jennifer Downes, Priyanka Krishnan, Starr Kirkland, Chase Naylor. Directed by John Pena Griswold. Wednesday July 13 at 8 p.m.; Friday July 15 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, July
4 to 4 p.m.; Sunday July 17 at 4 p.m. Runtime, 115 minutes

Imbued with wit and humanity at every turn, these two pieces merge into complementary nights of theater – farce with drama, lyrical with syncopated.
