An announcement shared on social media read: “We will be giving away 30 free packed lunch bags to nursery/school children each week to anyone struggling to take their children out over the summer holidays.
“If it will help save costs for you in taking the children, please contact to book. We will have them ready for the next morning for you to pick them up.
“If you have more than one small child who is doing very well, let us know how many and how old they are. The information will be kept confidential.”
The pub team started their spell on Monday and say they will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
