Paul Oakenfold Announces Memoir ‘Ready Steady Go: My Unstoppable Journey in Dance’

Paul Oakenfold is a name in the industry that everyone has heard, the English superstar producer and DJ has achieved wonderful accolades throughout his 40+ year career. With millions of streams and over 5 million album sales, Paul Oakenfold is now giving us a glimpse into his incredible life and career by releasing a brand new memoir.

Title “Ready Steady Go: My Unstoppable Dance Journey” this memoir will dive deep into the successful career of Paul Oakenfold, from his musical beginnings in the 1980s, when the DJ was found playing clubs in New York and London, to the story where he created one of the oldest electronic music labels, being Perfecto discs. We’ll also learn about Oakenfold’s personal life throughout this memoir, including his struggle with dyslexia, and how it shaped his career for better and for worse. The DJ himself discusses the memoirs in more detail when he states:

“In a career like mine, you don’t get a lot of opportunities to stop and reflect on what you’ve accomplished. Writing this book has given me the opportunity to reminisce about the many wild moments of my career, from DJing at Stonehenge and base camp on Mount Everest to working with legends like Madonna U2 and many more at managing my own label. It also made me think more about crucial personal moments in my life that impacted me more than I initially thought, such as growing up with dyslexia. It’s something that started me on a creative path to which I owe a large part of my career. I feel privileged to share my life stories with you and there are already many more in the pipeline for upcoming memoirs! »

Although it’s been a long career, there seems to be no sign of slowing down for the 58-year-old DJ who already has a stacked lineup of shows throughout 2022. On the lineup for some of the festivals the most fashionable in the world, as fields of cream and Glastonburythe DJ is also parked to join New order and Pet Shop Boys as the opening DJ of their 2022 North American Unit visit.

‘Ready Steady Go: My Unstoppable Journey in Dance’ is released in the UK on August 18, 2022 and you can find more information about the memoir and its tour dates here.
