Page 73’s Spring 2022 benefit will be held May 9 at City Winery at Pier 57. The event honors Barbara Whitman and features A strange loop cast members James Jackson, Jr. and John-Andrew Morrison as hosts.

The evening celebrates Whitman’s work with a cocktail reception, seated dinner and entertainment. Whitman produced Broadway’s A strange loop, fun housethe 2018 revival of Angels in America, Humans, Hedwig and the Angry Thumb, next to normaland more.

Page 73, who is co-producer of Michael R. Jackson’s Pulitzer-winning A strange loop with Whitman, began their collaboration when artistic director Michael Walkup met Whitman at an early musical comedy workshop. “Barbara’s partnership and guidance were instrumental in bringing to fruition the biggest project in our history: to develop and ultimately co-produce A strange loop“The world premiere of Playwrights Horizons was a smash hit,” Walkup said in a statement.

The Pulitzer-winning musical A strange loop opened on Broadway at the Lyceum Theater on April 26, following the world premiere of Playwrights Horizons 2019 Off-Broadway.
