Ogundare launches a new music company | The Guardian Nigeria News

Renowned Nigerian creative director and talent manager, Wole Ogundare, has set up his own music publishing and recording company, Brand New Entertainment. Wole, who is renowned for his stellar work in managing mavericks like MC Galaxy, Young D, Laura Ikeji, Toby Gray, Nestreya and Ms. Bodega, has also signed his first female act, Grace Idowu, who is a gospel artist formerly marketed under Eazi’s Mr. emPawa Africa imprint.

“There are a lot of releases this year,” he tells Weekend Beats.

Ogundare, who won the African Entertainment Awards USA 2021, for Best Creation of the Year, lived and studied in Nigeria, where he honed his passion for the arts before moving to the United States.

“My love for video production grew from watching MC Galaxy during their video shoots in Lagos. But it’s something I’ve always wanted to do despite studying mass communication during my undergraduate studies in the Osun State,” he said.

Apart from being a talent manager, Wole is currently at the forefront of the Nollywood market in the diaspora. In America, where he currently resides, he teamed up with music recording company, Bodega World Music, as well as film production company, Siderz Entertainment LLC, to produce Violated, a short film starring Sean Seun. Jimoh, Nzinga Desir and Lekan Ogunjobi. . His next film dubbed Web is set to star Ramsey Nouah, Seun Sean Jimoh, Nkechi Blessing Sunday and Atandwa Kani.
