PETALING JAYA, April 20 ― Renowned music producer Roslan Aziz has shared the tragic revelation that he is battling stage four lymphoma and may only have six months left to live.

In an interview with Astro Awani, Roslan, 61, said he didn’t expect to be diagnosed with cancer.

“I had a severe stomach ache last year which made me weak – and that meant I had to go to the hospital for these tests.

“When I received the shocking news from the doctor that I may only have six months left due to lymphoma, I was devastated.

“But I have accepted my fate – I may not live long with my current state.”

The music producer shared the pain of treatments like chemotherapy and the constant ins and outs of the hospital.

“Although life seems bleak right now, I am grateful to my family and friends who have been concerned about me.

“Cancer has taught me that we are not meant to be alone, but to have friends and family we can count on.

“My family and friends complete me – they are my source of strength and comfort.

“When my friends come to visit me, like producer Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina and actress Ida Nerina, I forget the pain I’m going through.”

He told Astro Awani that his wife, Sophilea Hamid, has been a great source of comfort and strength to him as she was always with him throughout this difficult time.

Sophilea, whom he describes as his best friend, has always been by his side since he married her 23 years ago.

“I don’t know what will happen to me if she (Sophilea) is not here.

“I know I’m going to die and there’s nothing to be sad about. It’s just that what saddens me is not being with my wife and children one day.
