MUSKEGON, MICHIGAN, USA, June 21, 2022 / — Lucky’s Community Cannabis Company will join the ranks of growing number of sourcing
Michigan centers.

The townships of Big Rapids and Muskegon will host Lucky’s new dispensaries in Michigan’s booming cannabis market. Grand opening dates are being set for the venues, located at 120 South Michigan in Big Rapids and in Muskegon Township at 1446 Holton Drive. The Big Rapids site is located on the second floor above Ferris State’s famous student hangout, Star Shooters and will sell recreational cannabis products while the Muskegon site will offer both medical and recreational marijuana.

Lucky’s has already made an impact in their new communities, actively engaging in fundraising for local homeless shelters, animal rescue organizations and engaging with parks and recreation councils . Lucky’s namesake is a German Shepherd who was adopted by founder Mark Robert. “I named the business ‘Lucky’s’ after my dog.” Mark shared: “My family adopted Lucky from a rescue shelter when my children were all young and Lucky had an invaluable impact in our lives as we cared for my mother who was in hospice care at home. Lucky’s was named to remind me of the things that really matter in life. He added: “…even during a long week at work or a hard day away from
my family, I am constantly reminded of what is really important.

Lucky’s purpose is manifested not only in outreach to local communities and service organizations, but also in music. Marc Robert has a history in entertainment and was actively involved in the planning of the Montreux Detroit Jazz Festival in Detroit. His love for music led Lucky to commit to supporting the local music scene. Lucky’s is one of Muskegon Townships co-sponsoring dispensaries on July 9 Cannabash and has also hosted live music performances featuring local artists at venues around the area and has partnered with NC1’s Nick Caster to bring the country
musical artist Alexis Taylor in Big Rapids last spring.

The Big Rapids Dispensary in a building constructed in the late 1800s that includes a classic 1920s theater built by the Masonic order. Lucky’s partners with Jerry Bowman, the owner of the building, to restore the theater. They plan to hold concerts, weddings and hold community events in the theater once the restoration and renovations are complete.
