HADESTOWN’s T. Oliver Reid to Debut All-New Show at Feinstein’s/54 Below

FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW will host T. Oliver Reid back to the basement. The Broadway and cabaret entertainer currently appears as Hermes in Hadestown, following the departure of original cast member André de Shields, T. returns in Feinstein’s 54 Below with That Sunday, That Summer, accompanied by musical director, Laurent Yurman.

T. Oliver Reid is a legendary performer with a 20-year career on Broadway. He has appeared in over 10 Broadway productions including Hadestown, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Kiss Me Kate, Once On This Island and The Wedding Singer. He is an accomplished and award-winning cabaret artist for his solo show “Drop Me Off In Harlem”. Reid is the co-founder of Black Theater Coalition and is an adjunct professor in the Grad Acting Program at NYU-Tisch, as well as the Grad Acting Program at Columbia University School of the Arts.

A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Black Theater Coalition’s scholarship program.

T. Oliver Reid: That Sunday, That Summer plays Feinstein’s/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on July 24 at 7:00 p.m. Cover charges are $25 to $35, with premium seats for $60. Feinstein’s / 54 Below was founded for the Broadway community to celebrate Broadway performers, established and new, who sing not only music from Broadway and The Great American Songbook, but also new material for the Broadway and off-Broadway stages. . The club features fine dining and stunning stage, light and sound designs entirely envisioned by Broadway designers. For performers, writers, musicians and more, Feinstein’s/54 Below gives the opportunity to advance their craft, expand their repertoire and develop their voice in a more personal way, making them stronger in as artists. It gives Broadway fans the opportunity to see their favorite artists in a different way, to deepen their relationship and to understand their talent.

Recipient of the 2022 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theater, Feinstein’s/54 Below celebrates Broadway musicals and writers past and present, promoting an ongoing commitment to their work. It is also a place of innovation in musical writing and performance. The collaborations born at Feinstein’s/54 Below give birth to and contribute to the development of new theatrical projects and new musicals. Additionally, its streaming video activities and popular audio recordings support these activities, helping to create new Broadway audiences around the world, both in terms of age and geography.

Feinstein’s/54 Below is one of the busiest venues in town, presenting over 700 shows each year. Unique in its mission, it has become an indispensable member of the Broadway ecosystem, providing a place for seasoned and emerging artists to hone their craft, try out new work, grow their fanbases, and come together as a community. The executive team includes nine Tony Award-winning Broadway owners and producers. Located at 254 West 54th Street, the club features live shows at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Late night programming will resume in the coming months.
