Edinburgh restaurant hits back after customer slams ‘Disney staff’ in scathing review

The customer gave Cramond Brig’s restaurant a scathing two-star review on TripAdvisor – although he admitted the steak was ‘cooked to perfection’.

Following their recent visit, the restaurant felt the need to leave critical comments and cited poor decor and furnishings, staff running “like headless chickens” and fries arriving five minutes late.

They summed up their thoughts by saying, “Overall, I regret wearing a shirt because I felt very dressed up for what amounted to a cheap chain restaurant.”

Miller & Carter responded to the client saying “we hope you can give us another chance in the future”.

Titled ‘A Brewers Fayre Experience’, the restaurant’s review read: ‘Carpeting was worn, layout and decor not what one would expect from the ‘Miller & Carter’ rep.

“We were seated in our seats, the table was like the one you’d buy cheap for a street boozer, as were the chairs. My chair was loose in the wrong places and I was reluctant to move too much for fear of it. here to give in.

“The atmosphere confirmed the Brewers Fare vibe, overly loud music and staff rushing but with no end goal for them – the term headless chickens comes to mind. After ordering our meal from the member of staff who would more suited to children’s television or Disneyland with the exaggerated fake answers, we watched many waiters drop food and clump onto the place.

“The steak was cooked to perfection but I had to wait 5 minutes for the fries to come out and another 5 minutes for the side of greens, I may be crazy but I like my food to come out at the same time time.”
