WILMINGTON — The 11th annual Kids & Company Rising Star Theater Camp for children ages 6-10 will be held from 10 a.m. to noon each day July 11-15 at the Wilmington Performing Arts Studio.
Rising Star Drama Camp offers children the opportunity to create and act in their own plays.
Karie Gipson of The Gigglebox Theater Experience and Madcap Puppet Theater will lead the camp. She is a passionate child educator with a background in puppet theater and children’s theatre.
From 1999 to 2007, she was an actress, director and consultant for Madcap Productions Puppet Theater in Cincinnati. Karie holds a bachelor’s degree in theater from Wilmington College.
Applications are available online at www.wilmington.edu/kidsco or by calling Lois Hock at Wilmington College at 937-725-8449. Application and participation fees are required and must be mailed and received by July 8th.

Camp for children and teenagers from 11 to 17 years old
The 28th Annual Kids & Company Theater Camp for children and teens ages 11-17 will be held from 1-5 p.m. each day July 25-29 at Wilmington High School’s Auditorium.
This year’s intensive theater camp will be led by Ken and Tara Lydy. Guest performers and drama camp staff will give special sessions during the week on acting, stage combat, dancing, singing, acting and costumes.
Applications are available online at www.wilmington.edu/kidsco. Application and participation fees are required and must be mailed and received by July 22.
